Rep. Elise Stefanik, who represents New York’s 21st district in the U.S. Congress, addressed a range of policy issues in a series of tweets posted on July 22, 2025.
In her first tweet at 13:33 UTC, Stefanik commented on recent violence involving law enforcement and immigration policy, stating, “Saturday night’s shooting of a border agent by an illegal immigrant sums up nearly everything wrong with progressive policies — on the border, crime, New York’s sanctuary-city status and more. This is all happening under the failed rule of @KathyHochul”.
Shortly after, at 13:38 UTC, she shifted focus to national security concerns in cyberspace. Stefanik wrote, “Cyberwar is no longer a future threat — it is today’s front line. To compete and win in this new arena, the U.S. must take a bold step and establish a national institution to train and deploy the next generation of digital defenders.”
Later that day at 14:25 UTC, Stefanik highlighted local developments in her district by sharing updates about emergency services infrastructure: “Enjoy the highlights of the groundbreaking ceremony for Montgomery County’s new EMS facility! I was proud to deliver over $1.5 million in federal funds for this project to serve our #NY21 communities and families by supporting our dedicated first responders. #RealResults”
Elise Stefanik has served as the congressional representative for New York’s 21st District since 2015 after succeeding Bill Owens. She was born in Albany in 1984 and currently resides in Schuylerville. Stefanik holds an AB degree from Harvard University.
