Rep. Elise Stefanik, who represents New York’s 21st district in the U.S. Congress, used her official X account on December 4 and 5, 2025, to address issues related to healthcare funding in New York and criticize Governor Kathy Hochul.

On December 4, 2025, Stefanik posted a press release highlighting a pause in state funding for a local health group: “FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Thursday, December 4, 2025 ICYMI – NYS funding stalls for North Star Health Alliance State and federal lawmakers say New York State funding has stopped flowing in for North Star Health Alliance at a critical point as the health care group transitions”.

Later that day, she announced new federal support for rural healthcare facilities: “Stefanik Delivers $500,000 Investment in Carthage Area Hospital Through Northern Border Regional Commission Grant to Strengthen Rural Healthcare in North Country WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today Congresswoman Elise Stefanik (R-NY), Chair of House Republican Leadership, announced the”.

On December 5, Stefanik turned her attention to Governor Kathy Hochul with a pointed critique: “.@KathyHochul is the Worst Governor in America for New Yorkers but the most “obedient” for the Chinese Communist Party (their words). Unlike Compromised Kathy, I have a sterling record of standing up against Communist China, and there will be no spies infiltrating our state”.

Elise Stefanik has served as U.S. Representative since 2015 after replacing Bill Owens. She was born in Albany in 1984 and currently resides in Schuylerville. Stefanik graduated from Harvard University with an AB degree.
