Representative Elise Stefanik, who has served in the U.S. Congress representing New York’s 21st District since 2015, recently posted a series of tweets addressing issues related to higher education, state policy, and federal legislation. Stefanik, a Harvard University graduate born in Albany in 1984 and currently residing in Schuylerville, commented on developments involving university leadership, law enforcement policies in New York State, and legislative efforts at the federal level.
On July 11, 2025, Stefanik criticized university presidents and the Democratic Party by stating: “The antisemitic moral rot of the (former) university presidents is truly mainstream in today’s warped and broken Democrat Party.” She included a link for further reading with her statement.
Later that day, on July 11, 2025, Stefanik addressed criminal justice policies in New York State. She attributed negative outcomes to state leadership by posting: “This is a direct result of @GovKathyHochul’s NY Democrat Party defund the police, failed bail reform, anti-police, pro-criminal policies that are destroying our great state.”
On July 12, 2025, Stefanik discussed her appearance on DiPietroForYou’s radio show regarding recent legislative initiatives. She stated: “LISTEN: I joined @DiPietroForYou’s show to discuss how the One Big Beautiful Bill delivers the largest tax cut in history, secures the border, unleashes energy dominance, expands educational opportunity, increases childcare accessibility and affordability, and more!”
Elise Stefanik succeeded Bill Owens as representative of New York’s 21st District in Congress beginning in 2015.
