Rep. Elise Stefanik, a member of the U.S. Congress representing New York’s 21st district since 2015, recently shared her views on several pressing issues via social media.

On June 18, 2025, Stefanik expressed her support for former President Donald Trump’s stance on Iran. She stated, “President Trump has been very clear: Iran must never have a nuclear weapon. I stand with President @realDonaldTrump and Israel’s right to defend itself against the evil regime in Iran.” She directed followers to watch further coverage on Newsmax.

Later that day, Stefanik commented on an incident involving John A. Sarcone III, the U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of New York under Trump’s administration. According to Stefanik, “In Kathy Hochul’s New York, nobody is safe, not even President Trump’s U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of NY John A. Sarcone III, who was ‘confronted and chased’ by an illegal alien armed with a knife in Albany last night, the Times Union reported.”

In another post from June 18, 2025, Stefanik criticized New York’s Medicaid program for mismanagement and inefficiencies. She stated her commitment to improving resource allocation for vulnerable populations: “New York’s Medicaid program is grossly mismanaged and rampant with waste, fraud, and abuse. I am dedicated to ensuring that taxpayer-funded resources effectively support our nation’s most vulnerable populations.”

Elise Stefanik was born in Albany in 1984 and currently resides in Schuylerville. She graduated from Harvard University with an AB degree.
