U.S. Representative Elise Stefanik, who has represented New York’s 21st District in Congress since 2015, posted a series of tweets between July 19 and July 20, 2025, criticizing the leadership of New York Governor Kathy Hochul and the Democratic Party in the state.
On July 19, Stefanik encouraged her followers to watch her appearance on Fox News, stating: ” Tune into @FoxNews tonight at 8 PM when I join @marklevinshow to discuss the Communists takeover of @KathyHochul’s NY Democrat Party and how we must SAVE NEW YORK! “
The following day, she continued her criticism by addressing economic issues in New York. In a tweet dated July 20, Stefanik wrote: ” New York’s affordability crisis is a DIRECT RESULT of Kathy Hochul and single-party Democrat rule that has been taken over by full blown Communists.”
Later that morning, Stefanik commented on newly released evidence related to the Russia investigation.
