U.S. Representative Elise Stefanik, who serves New York’s 21st District in Congress, posted a series of statements on social media between July 20 and July 21, 2025, addressing state policies and federal funding initiatives.
On July 20, Stefanik criticized Governor Kathy Hochul’s approach to immigration policy, writing: “All a result of The Worst Governor in America @KathyHochul’s dangerous sanctuary state policies.” Later that day, she commented on recent developments with another post: “Absolutely horrific news”.
The following day, Stefanik highlighted her collaboration with local officials in Montgomery County regarding emergency services funding. She stated: “Today, I joined Montgomery County Sheriff Jeff Smith, County Executive Pete Vroman @Vromanfo, and County Legislature Chairman Michael Pepe to deliver over $1.5 million in federal funding for the EMS facility in Montgomery County. I have worked closely with #NY21 County Sheriffs”.
Elise Stefanik has represented New York’s 21st District since 2015 after succeeding Bill Owens. She was born in Albany in 1984 and currently resides in Schuylerville. Stefanik holds an AB degree from Harvard University.
