Rep. Elise Stefanik, a member of the U.S. Congress representing New York’s 21st district since 2015, posted several statements on her social media accounts criticizing media organizations and revisiting her previous questioning of Robert Mueller.

On July 18, 2025, Stefanik referenced her involvement in the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election. She wrote: “FLASHBACK: In 2019, I questioned Robert Mueller about the Russia impeachment hoax and how it went to the highest level of the Obama White House. All the way to the top.”

The following day, Stefanik addressed two public radio stations in another post dated July 19, 2025: “Goodbye @NPR and @ncpr!”

Later that same day, she criticized North Country Public Radio (NCPR) reporters and accused them of partisanship. She stated: “Literally proving the point of exactly why they needed to be defunded, @ncpr “reporters” (ie Leftist Democrat hacks) are going on the record with the media smearing me with partisan attacks. Not reporting the news, but acting as sycophant stenographers of the Democrat Party.”

Stefanik was born in Albany, New York in 1984 and currently resides in Schuylerville. She is a graduate of Harvard University with an AB degree.
