Rep. Elise Stefanik, who represents New York’s 21st district in the U.S. Congress, announced on social media her recent legislative actions, including votes and new bills addressing cryptocurrency policy, U.S.-China relations, and federal spending.
On July 17, 2025, Stefanik stated: “Today, I voted for key legislation to make the U.S. the crypto capitol of the world.

– The CLARITY Act – to put basic rules in place for digital asset participants

Later that day, she posted about a new bill related to Washington D.C.’s international relationships: “Today, I join @RepMoolenaar in introducing critical legislation to terminate the Washington, D.C. government “sister city” relationship with Beijing, China which poses a threat to U.S. national security and prevent the District from entering into future sister city relationships https://t.co/fsPxqlqJP2” (July 17, 2025).
In a subsequent post on July 18, 2025, Stefanik highlighted her vote on a federal spending measure: “Today I voted to save the American taxpayer $9 billion of unobligated bloated spending via a rescissions package including defunding NPR, a promise I vowed to deliver to #NY21. Elise Stefanik has served as the congressional representative for New York’s 21st District since 2015 after succeeding Bill Owens. She was born in Albany in 1984 and currently resides in Schuylerville. Stefanik is also an alumna of Harvard University.
