Rep. Elise Stefanik, representing New York’s 21st district in the U.S. Congress since 2015, recently shared her perspectives on various political issues through a series of tweets.
On July 8, 2025, Stefanik emphasized the importance of food security as national security by highlighting New York’s significant role in agriculture. She stated, “New York is a powerhouse agricultural state. And Americans know that food security is national security.” She further mentioned her legislative efforts in the previous Congress to prevent U.S. adversaries from purchasing American farmland.
Later that day, Stefanik addressed a recent resignation within Governor Kathy Hochul’s administration. In her tweet dated July 8, 2025, she noted, “FYI New Yorkers: Kathy Hochul’s (THE WORST GOVERNOR IN AMERICA) Press Secretary formally RESIGNED over the weekend after he sexually harassed a co-worker last month at an Albany bar – one of the many scandals plaguing NY’s failing Governor.”
In another post on July 9, 2025, Stefanik revisited her involvement in uncovering what she describes as one of history’s significant political scandals and coverups. She wrote, “The beginning of exposing Comey’s illegal criminal conduct goes back to my questioning during a March 2017 Intel Committee hearing that started the unraveling of the Russia hoax.”
Elise Stefanik was born in Albany, New York in 1984 and currently resides in Schuylerville. She graduated from Harvard University with an AB degree.
