New York, N.Y. – House Republican Leadership Chairwoman Elise Stefanik appeared on Newsmax’s National Report to discuss preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons and addressing antisemitism in higher education.
During the interview, Stefanik expressed strong support for Israel’s right to self-defense. She highlighted her involvement with the House Armed Services Committee and the House Intelligence Committee, emphasizing President Trump’s longstanding stance against Iran pursuing nuclear capabilities. “I know the American people trust President Trump to keep us safe and to strengthen our national security,” she stated, adding her endorsement of his peace agenda.
Addressing antisemitism in universities, Stefanik criticized institutions receiving taxpayer funds yet failing to address such issues. She advocated for withholding these funds and scrutinizing foreign contributions. “We have put forth legislation to address that,” she noted, calling for investigations into university governance failures.
Stefanik also pointed out rising antisemitism within New York schools and criticized Democratic leadership’s handling of related issues. She urged zero tolerance for antisemitic actions, stating that Jewish voters increasingly align with Republicans due to their strong support for Israel.
Regarding President Trump’s initiatives, Stefanik praised his attention to detail and commitment to economic policies aimed at benefiting American workers. “He is a builder at heart,” she remarked while discussing new flagpoles on White House grounds as part of Trump’s broader agenda.
