Rep. Elise Stefanik, a U.S. Congresswoman representing New York’s 21st district since 2015, has recently used her social media platform to highlight cultural celebrations and legislative initiatives.
On October 13, 2025, Stefanik posted: “As a proud Italian-American, Happy Columbus Day!
New York is the proud home to hundreds of thousands of Italian Americans. We proudly commemorate Columbus Day every year.”
The following day, October 14, she announced new legislation aimed at improving access to baby formula through the WIC Program: “Today I joined @repmiketurner in introducing the Improving Newborn Formula Access for a Nutritious Tomorrow (INFANT) Act to expand baby formula contracting for states from one to two suppliers in the WIC Program.

Later that same day, Stefanik addressed agricultural security with another legislative effort: “I joined @reprickcrawford in introducing the Promoting Agriculture Safeguards and Security Act to protect our national security by prohibiting foreign adversaries from purchasing or controlling U.S. agricultural land and businesses.

She has served as a member of Congress since replacing Bill Owens in 2015 and represents a district with a significant Italian American population.
