Representative Elise Stefanik, who has served in the U.S. Congress representing New York’s 21st District since 2015, recently shared a series of updates on legislative developments and national security concerns via social media.
On July 9, 2025, Stefanik announced her support for the passage of new legislation, stating “I am proud to have my Bipartisan Workforce Pell Act bill included with the passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill. The passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill allows pell grants to be used for high-quality, short-term vocational education programs that will help New Yorkers achieve”.
Addressing national security issues on July 10, 2025, Stefanik raised concerns about foreign technology in the United States. She wrote “Chinese Communist drones present a significant risk to U.S. national security. Today, with @committeeonccp and @HouseIntel, I asked @ODNIgov to expedite a national security review of Chinese drone manufacturers. I will continue to lead the effort in Congress to expand U.S.”.
On July 11, 2025, Stefanik reiterated her commitment to workforce development initiatives by highlighting recent legislative progress: “I am proud to have led the expansion of learning opportunities for the development of a skilled American workforce. The passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill allows Pell Grants to be used for high-quality short-term programs that will help more Americans fill critical”.
Elise Stefanik was born in Albany, New York in 1984 and currently resides in Schuylerville. She graduated from Harvard University with an AB degree and replaced former Congressman Bill Owens when she took office in 2015.
