Rep. Elise Stefanik, a current member of the U.S. Congress representing New York’s 21st District since 2015, recently took to social media to share her views on several issues. Her posts covered topics ranging from political support to historical commemoration and legislative initiatives.

On June 17, 2025, Stefanik expressed her gratitude for the election of President Donald Trump with a succinct statement: “Thank God the American people elected President @realDonaldTrump “.

Later that day, at 10:55 AM UTC, she paid tribute to the historical significance of the Battle of Bunker Hill. She stated: “Today, we honor the brave patriots who stood their ground at the Battle of Bunker Hill — a defining moment that ignited the spirit of American independence. Though outnumbered and outgunned, they proved that courage, conviction, and the cause of liberty would not be silenced.”

At 3:30 PM UTC on the same day, Stefanik announced new legislative efforts aimed at workforce development. She introduced two bills intended to shift focus from traditional educational credentials to skills-based evaluation in hiring practices. She wrote: “Today, I am proud to introduce two bills to invest in workforce development and empower job creators to evaluate candidates based on what they know how to do, not whether they went to college.” The legislation includes the Employer-Directed Skills Act which aims to enable employers in providing targeted workforce training.

Elise Stefanik was born in Albany, New York in 1984 and currently resides in Schuylerville. She graduated from Harvard University with an AB degree.
