On June 17, 2025, Stefanik expressed her gratitude for the election of President Donald Trump with a succinct statement: “Thank God the American people elected President @realDonaldTrump “.

She stated: “Today, we honor the brave patriots who stood their ground at the Battle of Bunker Hill — a defining moment that ignited the spirit of American independence. Though outnumbered and outgunned, they proved that courage, conviction, and the cause of liberty would not be silenced.”

She introduced two bills intended to shift focus from traditional educational credentials to skills-based evaluation in hiring practices. She wrote: “Today, I am proud to introduce two bills to invest in workforce development and empower job creators to evaluate candidates based on what they know how to do, not whether they went to college.” The legislation includes the Employer-Directed Skills Act which aims to enable employers in providing targeted workforce training.
Elise Stefanik was born in Albany, New York in 1984 and currently resides in Schuylerville. She graduated from Harvard University with an AB degree.
