Elise Stefanik, currently serving as a U.S. Congress member representing New York’s 21st district, has shared several updates on social media that reflect her ongoing political commitments and personal sentiments. Having replaced Bill Owens in 2015, Stefanik continues to be an active voice in the legislative arena.

On July 3, 2025, Stefanik expressed pride in her congressional role with a tweet stating “Promises made, promises kept. I was proud to stay in Congress to vote to pass the One Big Beautiful Bill to deliver on President Trump’s historic mandate to enact the largest tax cut in American history, turbocharge economic growth, secure our borders, restore energy dominance,” emphasizing her support for significant legislative measures.

The following day, July 4th, she marked Independence Day by inviting others to celebrate foundational American values through a tweet: “On this Independence Day, join me in celebrating our greatest treasure as Americans: The gift of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. As we reflect on the countless lives sacrificed in the pursuit of liberty from tyranny from the American Revolutionary War battles that”. This message highlighted her appreciation for historical sacrifices made for freedom.

On July 5th, Stefanik addressed a natural disaster affecting Texas by tweeting “Our hearts are breaking as we pray for the families impacted by the devastating flooding in TX especially the precious young girls from the summer Camp Mystic. God speed our first responders who we fellow Americans know are working day and night to save these dear lives.” She extended her thoughts and prayers towards those affected by severe flooding and acknowledged the efforts of first responders during this crisis.

Elise Stefanik was born in Albany, New York in 1984 and currently resides in Schuylerville. She is an alumna of Harvard University where she earned an AB degree.
