Rep. Elise Stefanik, who has represented New York’s 21st District in the U.S. Congress since 2015, recently addressed several national and educational issues through a series of posts on social media. Stefanik, born in Albany in 1984 and a Harvard University graduate, currently resides in Schuylerville.
On July 13, 2025, Stefanik reflected on the one-year anniversary of an assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania. She stated: “Today marks one year since the horrific assassination attempt on President Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania. Americans will never forget that God was looking down on President Trump that fateful day and miraculously spared his life by a quarter of an inch.”
On July 15, 2025, Stefanik posted about her actions during a congressional hearing concerning antisemitism at the City University of New York (CUNY). She wrote: “WATCH: I expose Dr. Félix Matos Rodríguez (@ChancellorCUNY) for failing to protect Jewish students and faculty from the alarming rise of antisemitism on campus.”
Later that same day, Stefanik provided further details from the Education & Workforce Hearing regarding CUNY’s response to antisemitic incidents. She stated: “At the Education & Workforce Hearing, I just asked @ChancellorCUNY about the scourge of antisemitism on @CUNY campuses. He refused to take disciplinary action against a senior administrator who delayed taking down swastikas at Hunter College. He admitted that he”
