Elise Stefanik, a U.S. Congress member representing New York’s 21st District since 2015, shared several tweets reflecting on personal and public matters in mid-June 2025. Her posts ranged from a tribute to fathers on Father’s Day to the mourning of a prominent business figure and expressions of support for Israel.
On June 15, 2025, Stefanik extended her wishes on Father’s Day by recognizing the role of fathers in society. She stated, “Happy Father’s Day to all the incredible dads, grandfathers, and father figures who lead with strength, love, and sacrifice.” Emphasizing their importance in raising future generations, she remarked that “Strong American fathers are vital to raising the next generation of strong men and women.”
The following day, June 16, Stefanik expressed condolences over the death of Leonard Lauder. In her tweet she said: “New York mourns the passing of Leonard Lauder, a giant of business, philanthropy, family, and leadership.” She recalled giving Lauder and his family a tour of the West Wing during her early career at the White House.
Also on June 16th, Stefanik voiced her support for Israel through another tweet referencing Operation Rising Lion. She quoted scripture from Numbers 24:9: “The nation is like a mighty lion; When it is sleeping, no one dares wake it.” The post concluded with blessings for Israel.
Elise Stefanik was born in Albany in 1984 and currently resides in Schuylerville. A Harvard University graduate with an AB degree, she succeeded Bill Owens as representative for New York’s 21st district.
