Later that day, Stefanik criticized the policies of Kathy Hochul regarding sanctuary states. She attributed violent crimes to these policies in a tweet stating “Kathy Hochul’s dangerous sanctuary state politics are responsible for violent crimes on law abiding New Yorkers including rapes, assaults, and murders at the hands of violent immigrants here due to Hochul’s sanctuary state policies.” She urged viewers to watch Sean Hannity’s program for further discussion.
On June 22, 2025, Stefanik expressed support for President Trump and American troops following military actions against Iran’s nuclear facilities. Her tweet read “President Trump and our brave American troops have made the world safer by striking the Islamic Republic of Iran’s nuclear weapons facilities that threatened the world.” She thanked both President Trump and servicemembers while calling for peace.
