U.S. Representative Elise Stefanik, who represents New York’s 21st District in Congress, posted a series of tweets on December 12 and 13, 2025, highlighting her involvement in recent legislative achievements and offering public congratulations to the National Guard.

On December 12, Stefanik thanked former President Donald Trump for his remarks at a White House event and recognized colleagues involved in honoring the historic U.S. Olympic hockey team. “Thank you to @realDonaldTrump for your kind words at today’s signing ceremony in the Oval Office. Thank you for signing legislation I co-led with @RepPeteStauber and @GOPMajorityWhip Tom Emmer to present the legendary 1980 U.S. Olympic Men’s Hockey Team with Congressional Gold”, she wrote.

The following day, Stefanik commented further on the significance of the ceremony: “It was an honor to join @realDonaldTrump for today’s inspiring Oval Office ceremony marking the culmination of years of legislative work to honor the legendary 1980 U.S. Olympic Men’s Hockey Team with Congressional Gold Medals. I was proud to co-lead this bill in Congress with”.

On December 13, she also acknowledged the anniversary of a major military institution: “Happy birthday to the @NationalGuard! Thank you to America’s brave patriots for protecting our nation and defending our freedoms! #NY21”.

Stefanik has represented New York’s 21st District since 2015 after succeeding Bill Owens. She was born in Albany, New York, in 1984 and resides in Schuylerville. Stefanik holds an AB from Harvard University.
