Franklin County’s institution invested $194,083 on their basketball teams in 2023, a 16.4% increase over the previous year, according to the U.S. Department of Education.

The county’s funding for the basketball teams comprised 12.6% of all money invested in sports teams in 2023.

The average sports expenses in Franklin County have grown 377.9% since 2010.

Basketball is one of the most popular sports played at U.S. colleges, as well as football. NCAA basketball teams are often as popular as NBA teams, and offer a different experience for fans.
