Black Brook recently issued the following announcement.
"First and foremost, I want to express our sincere appreciation for the wonderful efforts that you and your children have made throughout this challenging process. Your patience, commitment, and support is tremendously appreciated and has not gone unnoticed. We know this isn’t ideal by any stretch of the imagination and we certainly share in that sentiment with you. While we are doing our very best to provide high quality educational experiences for your children under these unusual conditions, we ask that you please continue to openly communicate with us including if there is any way that we can be of additional support or assistance as we all work towards the common goal of getting back to some sense of normalcy. We are here for you and want to be active partners in doing the best we can for all of our students.
As we previously shared in our reopening announcement message, the plan was to remain fully remote until October 5th where we would then have additional facts and additional planning time and in turn hopefully be able to start under the hybrid school schedule design of 2 days in-person/school learning experiences combined with remote learning days. The actual days of the in-person learning were based on your child’s assigned group of either an A or B team.
Please note that we are currently still moving forward with this planned October 5th date of return to a hybrid schedule for those who chose that particular option; however, as with anything COVID related, this date could be changed or extended at a moment’s notice based on various circumstances and/or factors. That being said, we are truly hoping to begin under the hybrid schedule model starting on October 5th and will update you if anything changes.
Additionally, as you will recall, you were asked to commit to a choice of either a full remote schedule or a hybrid schedule through the identified date of November 6th. We have made the decision to honor an exception to this prior commitment.. If you would like to change from a prior hybrid schedule commitment to a fully remote schedule through the November 6th date, please contact the main office in your child’s building ASAP but no later than next Thursday September 24th. Again, this is only for a change from a hybrid schedule choice to a fully remote schedule option and not for the reverse action, as that has already been fully planned and organized.
Also, if you need to make any changes to the bus transportation information that you previously provided to us, including the pick-up and drop off locations of your children, please call the appropriate schools main office with that important information. Again, all information will be needed by Thursday September 24th at the very latest so that we can plan accordingly.
In closing, please know that we miss our students dearly and can’t wait to get them back full time in our schools where they belong! As always, we thank you for your teamwork and patience as we move forward. Patriot strong, and we can’t thank you enough for all you are doing for our schools and our students.
