Franklin Academy High School had the highest enrollment among Franklin County schools, welcoming 718 students during the 2022-23 academic year, according to the New York State Education Department.

Data also showed that most of the students were white, representing 94.8% of the Franklin Academy High School's total enrollment.

Among the 19 schools in Franklin County, Davis Elementary School ranked second in enrollment numbers with 563 students, while Malone Middle School welcomed 500 students and came in third in the 2022-23 school year.

Franklin Academy High School is part of Malone Central School District, which roughly covers two schools within Franklin County and has a main office in Chateaugay.

In the previous school year, Franklin Academy High School also had the highest number of students among Franklin County schools.

In 2022, New York had roughly one teacher for every 12 students, which is lower than the national average of one teacher for every 16 students. A lower student-to-teacher ratio has been found to improve students' school performance.
